Female Urine Collection
Random (Mid Stream) and urine cytology
This test is very important to assess your health and will only give useful results if collected properly. It tests not only for bacteria and infection, but also for sugar, protein, and acidity. It can also look at the cells in the urine if cancer is suspected. Normal body secretions may alter the results, so it is necessary to clean the area where the urine is passed thoroughly. Please follow these guidelines. Do not hesitate to ask for assistance.
If urine cytology is also required, then perform this test in the mid morning.
Please complete the relevant patient information on the specimen container label prior to delivery. Refrigerate if there is a delay between collection and submission.
